Engineering Plastic

Teflon

It is a polymer of polyethylene terephthalate or the name of the most famous Teflon that is characterized by being chemically inert even when exposed to high temperatures and pressures, it is completely non-toxic and has unmatched non-stick properties because its friction coefficient is the least that maintains its chemical and electrical properties between -180 degrees °C and 260 °C which is non-flammable in the electrical and electronic industries, has a wide range of applications due to its exceptional electrical and dielectric properties, which remain stable over a wide range of frequencies and temperatures. It is self-lubricating and its properties can be further improved by combining it with additives such as highly elastic graphite.

Properties
